An incredible love story

Posted by Malou at 7/19/2008 07:52:00 AM 6 comments
This story was forwarded to me by a friend through email. I thought of sharing these wonderful story which we might get some lessons. I love this story.

An incredible love story has come out of China recently and managed to touch the world. It is a story of a man and an older woman who ran off to live and love each other in peace for over half a century. The 70-year-old Chinese man who hand-carved over 6,000 stairs up a mountain for his 80-year-old wife has passed away in the cave which has been the couple's home for the last 50 years.Over 50 years ago, Liu Guojiang a 19 year-old boy, fell in love with a 29 year-old widowed mother named Xu Chaoqin..
In a twist worthy of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, friends and relatives criticized the relationship because of the age difference and the fact that Xu already had children. At that time, it was unacceptable and immoral for a young man to love an older woman.. To avoid the mark gossip and the scorn of their communities, the couple decided to elope and lived in a cave in Jiangjin County in Southern ChongQing Municipality. In the beginning, life was harsh as hey had nothing, no electricity or even food. They had to eat grass and roots they found in the mountain, and Liu made a kerosene lamp that they used to light up their lives. Xu felt that she had tied Liu down and repeatedly asked him, 'Are you regretful? Liu always replied, 'As long as we are industrious, life will improve.'In the second year of living in the mountain, Liu began and continued for over 50 years, to hand-carve the steps so that his wife could get down the mountain easily.
Half a century later in 2001, a group of adventurers were exploring the forest and were surprised to find the elderly couple and the over 6,000 hand-carved steps. Liu MingSheng, one of their seven children said, 'My parents loved each other so much, they have lived in seclusion for over 50 years and never been apart a single day. He hand carved more than 6,000 steps over the years for my mother's convenience, although she doesn't go down the mountain that much.'
The couple had lived in peace for over 50 years until last week. Liu, now 72 years, returned from his daily farm work and collapsed. Xu sat and prayed with her husband as he passed away in her arms. So in love with Xu, was Liu, that no one was able to release the grip he had on his wife's hand even after he had passed away. 'You promised me you'll take care of me, you'll always be with me until the day I died, now you left before me, how am I going to live without you?' Xu spent days softly repeating this sentence and touching her husband's black coffin with tears rolling down her cheeks.
In 2006, their story became one of the top 10 love stories from China , collected by the Chinese Women Weekly. The local government has decided to preserve the love ladder and the place they lived as a museum, so this love story can live forever.

Cook from scratch

I learned cooking from my mother. There are four children in the family including myself so I guess it is kind of hard for my parents to raise children to make sure we grow up with good attitude and perspective in life. But they succeeded on giving us education not only in school but from them teaching us the good morals and values.

But anyhow, when we were little I remember when she told me to cook rice but then I was so engrossed in playing while cooking same time. So what would you expect? Of course I ruined the whole pot of rice much worse to burning it, smells terrible. She scolded me because I did not follow her instructions to not play while cooking and that I have to keep an eye on what I am doing. Well I learned from that mistake.

I enjoyed cooking especially when I created it from scratch. It gives me pride when from that scratch I created a great tasting and incredibly healthy meal. When we created something with our hands we benefit from it emotionally and physically.

Wear white

I stepped out of our house this afternoon to water our plants because by the look of it they seem very thirsty and some of the leaves were drooping down. I can feel the hot sun burning against my skin it is so hot especially there's no breeze to fight the blazing sun so I went back to our house to change my top with a white shirt. That makes me feel much better. Did you know why the reaction is like that? Well according from the book that I read colors affect energy. The closer you get to white, the more positive energy you can bring into your energetic field. This may not be practical in everyday situations however, having some white or light colored clothing as your general around-the-house attire can make you feel much better.

I logged in to my account at ksolo to check my recorded songs. But i was so frustrated when I go back and forth and all I can see is the ksolo(in myspace) to add up to my frustration I couldn't find my son's recorded songs there. It's so ridiculous. All I wanted to find is my son's song that I really like. It is so important to me. What happen to ksolo? Grrrr...

Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you
this year. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve
all your goals this year. For the remaining months of this year (2008),
all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be
incoming in abundance. Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings,
sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.
He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down.
I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! What
can I do for you? And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person
reading this message'... God smiled and answered... 'Request granted.'

If you believe this message, send it to seven persons and the one who sent it to you.
By doing this you have succeeded in praying for many people today .

This is an email forwarded to me by my step daughter. Please pass the good message.

Fishing is one of the sports that my husband like to do a way to relax and just hang around. One day we went out fishing it was a bright Sunday morning. I love the place, so quiet there's also a little area where children can play. I took this photo of my husband fishing and our son Jarred patiently watching his dad, so precious. Matter of fact this photo is my favorite.
