passport

Posted by Malou at 8/21/2008 11:05:00 PM 3 comments
It's still nice that you don't need a passport to go to Cancun Mexico but it is always advisable to have one. It saves time pulling out a state picture ID, drivers license and your birth certificate to prove that you're a citizen. So the passport makes things a lot easier. Traveling abroad to different counties I found that the passport and state ID sometimes is required by different countries. I like looking back into my passport book and seeing the different ports of entry of each country that I went to. Its like a forever souvenir.

Outer Banks rentals

My step daughter and her husband with their 0ne year old daughter recently went on a week vacation to North Carolina. From New York State they drove down there to smell the fresh air of North Carolina ocean. They left the house at 11:00 at night and drove for hours and finally arrived there in the morning. It doesn't seem to take that long to get there. They rented a beach home at Outer Banks rentals for a week. Down at the beach they walked and found some unusual shell which she brought home and gave us half of them. Her husband went surf fishing where he caught two white fish. It was fun. Did you ever try to catch a sand crab? They are faster than you think he he. Someday we will be there.

things to know

So scary to think of health, asking myself sometimes if I am okay healthwise? One in a while I have a headache that I can't even get out of the bed because when I looked up it seems the house is moving. It's also tough when we don't carry health insurance. Most of them are so expensive and it's rediculously priced. I just hope everythings going to be fine.

Slash your cholesterol with cinnamon

It's nice to learn tips from grand parents, mother, or an elder people who have an experience on life like treating pain, or other health problems by using herbs. But sometimes my husband says "oh it's only a wives tales" then he would laugh. For instance, you can use cinnamon to lower your cholesterol down. Here's how to do it. You can sprinkle cinnamon on your morning coffee or toast or oatmeal. A half-teaspoon of cinnamon each day would help. I believe theres no harm in trying for as long as you know what you're doing.

small business franchise

Planning a business is not that easy as you think. There were many angles to think about before putting your right foot forward that's why most of the business owners weigh the pros and cons based on the evaluation whether owning a franchise is right for you. An example is to start a small business franchise which enables you to be an affiliate of that business. Being cautious is important. There were many franchise opportunities online and when you decide to own a small business you may find a very helpful small business industry. Click on the link above to find out.

baking soda home remedy

To fight back against a gas attack, add a pinch of baking soda to a glass of water and drink it down. That is what my husband did when he also have a heartburn. I am really surprised by how well it worked on him.
Take note friends it is still better to consult your doctor first before trying this.

paella pan

Posted by Malou at 8/19/2008 09:30:00 PM 3 comments
I definitely love cooking especially baking. My husband bought me sets of stainless pots and pans and get rid of our old one. They are very useful because most of the time I cooked 3 to 4 menus at the same time since I am picky on American foods and sometimes he also doesn't agree on some Filipino foods :-). When you need to buy paella pan I recommend you go to http://www.mysonproducts.com/ because you will find there selections of perfect pans that suit your needs. From stainless steel, polished steel, non-stick, enameled steel and copper. They are authentic and made in the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal. I hope you enjoy cooking using your kitchen companion.

My passion is photography but I am not what you call a professional photographer. It's only my past time taking pictures of everything which interests me. Yesterday I took a picture again of my son playing with the cute cat next door and later we played in the slide where he loved the most. You couldn't get him in the house once he started playing in the slide. Well anyhow here are some of the pictures I took of him striking a pose.

strawberries

Strawberry ice cream, strawberry cake...I love strawberry. In fact I can only eat strawberry ice cream flavor and the rest I don't really hate them but it just doesn't appeal to me. Ice cream's over here taste different. Anyhow these bright red berries get their color from anthocyanins, a group of antioxidants that have been shown to lessen inflammation and ward off muscle soreness. Slice them into cereal, blend into smoothie, or add them to a salad. Which ever you prefer to eat it is still good. Thanks for reading because I learned a lot from it. I hope it is useful what I have just shared to you. :-)

Just a quick tip

Posted by Malou at 8/18/2008 05:17:00 PM 3 comments
Do you love baking particularly in baking fish? If you do this might be a good tip for you also. Did you know that baking is one of the healthiest ways to cook fish because it doesn't require butter or oil? But the oven heat pulls moisture from the fish, drying it out. For moisture results, cook the fish in a baking dish at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (10 minutes for every inch of thickness) and baste with broth or wine two or three times during cooking.

memory stick

Posted by Malou at 8/17/2008 08:58:00 AM 0 comments
Our computer is loaded with picture files and I think the reason why our computer is slowing down is because of the pictures stored on it. My husband bought me a memory stick to transfer some of our pictures into it. Thank goodness it really worked. It is also useful for a digital data storage, transfer media and it allows users to transfer information, such as data, text, graphics or digital images from one electronic device to another quickly and easily. It is available now in consumer electronics retailers across the country and works in most new DV & Mini DV camcorders and digital cameras. Visit http://www.memorysuppliers.com/ to see the selections.

kind of funny

I was watching t.v. tonight when an advertisement came up which caught my attention. It is about birth control pills. I was only wondering if they can make a birth control pills that doesn't have any side effect. So yes, let's say this kind of pill will serve your purpose but in the end you'll get scared to use it anyhow because of a hundred side effects that they mentioned. Will you take a risk to take it? Well anyhow, that's only my observation.
