contact lenses

Posted by Malou at 10/18/2008 08:06:00 AM 1 comments
My husband's eyes were getting bad about 15 years ago but the old style contact lenses didn't really fit comfortable to the lens in his eyes. The best thing about contact lenses these days is there is just so many different types, styles, and colors. Even after his exam he was unaware that he have a astigmatism and even with the astigmatism they were able to set him up with a very comfortable set of contact lenses.

Freezing morning

We woke up this morning and we can see our breath in the air. It's 28 degrees cold this morning so daddy started up the fire in the fireplace. We cut a lot of wood last year and thank goodness there were still some left over to start the fire. Daddy cut some new woods a month ago but they were not dry yet. Gas is so expensive this days to use to heat up the house. Sooner or later no one's going to afford it anymore. Incredible....

ouchy cuts & puncture wounds

It's normal for everybody to have minor cuts. Treating them right is important to avoid infection. Clean the cut gently with soap and water. Apply an antibiotic ointment to prevent infection. This also keep the skin moist to speed healing and prevent scarring. Cover with a clean bandage and change it often, especially if it becomes wet or dirty. Head for the ER if a wound is deep, has glass, metal or dirt embedded in it; or doesn't stop bleeding after five minutes of applying direct pressure. Check wounds regularly for signs of infection. If you see pus or red streaks, see your doctor.

For years and years my husband and myself been working extremely hard in our small business. We kept it small and refined to always keep our high quality of work. It would have been nice to expand but bigger isn't always better trying to find trusted employees and today's world is horrible. Now that we've reached our age of almost retirement it's time to put our small business for sale.

Creating something with our own hands can be beneficial emotionally and physically. I have a friend who like to cross stitching, my other friend like to draw pictures on her past time but for me my hobby is cooking. Every person had their own hobbies and it leads to a mental break and enjoyment. What is your hobby?

best acne treatment

I thought as I get older I would outgrow all my acne. I've tried this cream that jell and I even went to a dermatologist to try to cure all my acne. The search seems to be extremely never ending for best acne treatment at least in today's computer world and some spare time the search is simplified. I should have went to school to be a dermatologist.

I never had any problem with my weight until I started to slow down in my late 30's basically from changing jobs there was more physical labor in the first job but now that I am sitting down most of the day I don't burn as much calories. So I guess it's time to find some fat burner pills. This will take a while because there's so many different ones in this vast age on the market .

Have you watched the IRONMAN movie? We watched it today and we give it three and one half stars. It was exciting and it was slow , it was exciting and it was slow. It so cool how they make body armor robotics that bullets bounced off. Someday we will be seeing this not too far in the future. Thats a scary part. CAT6

The other day I decided to change the living room around to surprise my husband. I got the couple of the girl friends to come over and help me with the heavier stuff. The only problem was when we went to move our entertainment center we cut two of the cables. But thank goodness for Fran telling me about CAT6. The cables in there were just what we are looking for and my husband won't be home for about 10 days. We hope we get everything back together before he realizes his big screen HDTV isn't working or am going to be in a dog house. I think I ordered extra one.

Man's Best Friend?

You know sometimes if you take your problem seriously it is not really good to your health. You might end up in the hospital. Take a break. To laugh out your problem here's one good joke for you. :-)

One night a man walks into a bar with a pig. The bartender says to the man, "That's a great looking pig, but why does he have a wooden leg?"
So the man says, "Let me tell you about this pig. He is one special pig. One night my house was on fire and he dragged me to safety. Saved my life."
The bartender says. "Well, that's great. But why does he have a wooden leg?"
The man says, "Let me tell you about this pig. He is one special pig. One time I was out sailing and the boat capsized. This pig swam me to safety. Saved my life."
The bartender says, "That's really terrific, but why the wooden leg?"
The man says, "Let me tell you about this pig. He is one special pig. Last week during an earthquake my house collapsed and my pig pulled me out. Saved my life."

And finally the bartender says,"Wow, that is one special pig. He saved you from a fire, an earthquake and from drowning. But why does he have a wooden leg?"
The man says, "When you have a pig this special you can't eat all of it at once."

Happiness is Pets

Posted by Malou at 10/15/2008 04:25:00 PM 1 comments
We have pets in the house, two cats, one dog, three rabbits no wonder because of how much my family liked animals. Finding a friend in them and of loyalty is bringing joy to us. But taking care of them is a big responsibility just like taking care of our own children. Happiness is Pets, the best place to go who specializes in puppies and this store also have a wide selection of puppies, food and accessories. A nice place for the whole family to go especially where you can interact with the puppies.

Want Free Cell Phones?

Posted by Malou at 10/15/2008 09:26:00 AM 0 comments
Phones are very important not only for personal use but also for business communication. Without cell phones it might take time to deliver your messages to your destination. Now mobile phones are preferably the chosen gadget for communication by almost every body because of how easy to handle and anywhere you go it is very much handy. No wonder different phone companies are offering free mobile phone sale. I like to browse mobile models from Verizon cell phones because of their wide selection. It is incredible how many touch screen model are available. I'm still amazed when you turn the phone the screen turns with it and literally millions of downloads to your phone. Tmobile phones are great. But then again comparing them to at&t cell phones they seem highly compatible. I prefer the more color range of the Sprint phones but I like at&t's plan better. The red blackberry curve seems to work the best for our situation. Even picking up a plan to text to different countries on an everyday basis works great. The key seem to be a little bit bigger makes it easier for my husband with his clumsy fingers to text me while I'm on vacation in the Philippines with my son.

You Are Powerful and Determined

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.

And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.

You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

Nautical novelties and supplies

Posted by Malou at 10/13/2008 08:40:00 PM 0 comments
About a year ago we bought an old boat not knowing a darn thing about boating we set out on our great adventure. First we found out we needed bearings for our trailer axles then learning how to back up the trailer into the water was quite a trick left to go right right to go left so stressful. It took a half an hour to go a hundred foot backwards to launch the boat it looked like a sunny day the first day out boy were we wrong. The thunder, lightning and rain came down. After trying to outrun the storm we found a small harbor uncharted on our map. Good thing I was smart enough to keep an eye on our tide clocks one thing my uncle taught me. After getting back to our port we decided to be a little bit more prepared ordering up quite a few things from American Marine Supply. Amazing how many things they have in their supply. Boy, did we need a lot of stuff!

Need fishing licenses

A couple of young fellers were fishing at their special pond off the beaten track when out of the bush's jumped the Game Warden !!

Immediately, one of the boys threw his rod down and started running through the woods, and hot on his heels came the Game Warden.

After about a half mile the fella stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath and the Game Warden finally caught up to him.

"Lets see yer fishin license, Boy !!" the Warden gasped.

With that, the fella pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license.i3galr3pr0ducton0fa!h!a!j0k3s

"Well, son", said the Game Warden, " You must be about as dumb as a box of rocks !! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"
"Yes Sir", replied the young feller," But my friend back there, well, he don't have one"...
