Self defense products

Posted by Malou at 4/17/2009 12:02:00 PM 1 comments
Women are dominated by men when it comes to strength. Women are weak and lack of power to defend themselves. Anywhere in this world you can never always trust the safety around you. No matter where you are the safety of oneself should always be carried in ones mind. In general, you never know who your attacker will be regardless of gender. Being cautious, being alert and a know how to carry and use self defense products would be the best way to fend your attacker.

Breathe some steam

My son finally got over with his high fever but last night he had a congestion. I remember what mama did when we got sick. Traditional home remedy still works and had evidence that it works. So for the quick relief of my son's congestion I did what I learned from my mom. Here's another way of clearing congestion with salt water. Fill a cooking pot about a quarter of the way with water. Bring the water nearly to a boil then add a 3 table spoon of salt. Remove the pot from the heat and place it on a protected table or counter. Drape a towel over your head, lean over the pot and breath the steam. Be careful not to burn yourself. It will help you breath a little easier.

Kitchen faucets

When my stepdaughter had moved in to the house they bought they figured out they're going to spend more money to take care of some of the repairs for their home improvement. From sidings, windows, roofing and some of the interior repairs. Since the major repairs will cost more they started in the little things first. The kitchen wasn't so bad at all except the kitchen faucets which needs immediate action. When my husband examined the problem the faucet rusted out from old age. Putting in a new kitchen faucets makes our daughter so happy.

Bicycle safety

Now that spring is upon us you can see most of the kids in the neighborhood are outdoors playing their favorite games or sometimes you'll see them on their bikes riding around the block. When we go out and ride our bikes with our children we always think of safety first to avoid bicycle injury. By learning a few safety rules and using proper clothing and gear you can avoid an injury.

So here are some of the things we should remind ourselves over and over again before we hop in on our bikes. A few basics to do : Don't wear loose clothing or a long coat; they can get caught in the bicycle chain. Put clips or rubber bands around the bottom of pants legs. When riding at night, wear light colored clothing. Wearing armbands, leg bands, or vests that glow in the dark helps assure that drivers will see you. Always wear a helmet when riding your bike. Follow the safety rules and always use the proper equipment.

Colon cleanser

I always thought that after having my baby I had a little extra weight. It was just normal besides getting a little older. I just thought it was something that I have to deal with. But after fighting my weight for three or four years I went to the doctors for unrelated issue to my weight and he recommended a colon cleanser. I was amazed at what the difference was after I gone through the whole thing. I was actually 9 pounds lighter and now I don't mind putting my swimsuit on and my husband loves it too.

Cleanliness

Amazing how different apartment complex cleanings can be. It's an age thing. I think of the different people that are in the apartments. A two bedroom apartment at our senior homes you can clean the total apartment in three and a half hours. But if you go to our other apartment complex with the younger generation I don't think anyone ever taught them what cleanliness is. You can spend upward to nine hours in those apartments versus the other at three and a half hours. Disgusting sometimes. Oh well its our job.

Truck rental

It's the time of the year when green is finally popping out all over, my girlfriend is thankful because it's the best time of the year when her family decided to move out of their rental apartment. They bought a new house close by to where they work. New neighbors, new house, and new people to meet. But she said moving to a new place is not that easy if you don't own a big truck to haul your belonging. They are grateful when they decided to go to a truck rental so they could move their things to their new house.

Pool supplies

Posted by Malou at 4/16/2009 03:08:00 PM 0 comments
We traveled down in Maryland last month and stayed at the hotel for the night. We usually look for a hotel according to our budget but during that time the hotels that we stopped at had some kind of a convention going on. So are all the nearby places fully booked. Our option is to go find another hotel to stay. Luckily we found this nice hotel just a few miles from there. They have a swimming pool that we didn't know about until we had signed in. It was freezing outdoors and a hot swimming pool is so inviting but we didn't have any swimming suit to wear. It's a little frustrating. I even tease my husband to go to the store buy our swimsuits and then come back for a swim. Oh well, so we are going to set up our swimming pool in the back yard soon and get some pool supplies that we need. It's going to be so much fun now that Jarred is bigger.

You can cut your electric bill

Posted by Malou at 4/16/2009 02:36:00 PM 0 comments
You probably have no idea how much money you’re wasting on your electric bill. This simple idea will help cut your electric bill. At this time of the year we are around 45 to 67 degrees at daytime with sunshine on some days. We can make use of that day and hang our wet clothes outdoors to dry instead of using our dryer that consumes energy. There you go I hope that tip will be of help.

Diamond heart jewelry

Posted by Malou at 4/15/2009 05:59:00 PM 1 comments
Now that Easter Sunday has gone by it's time to think of the upcoming important holiday. Another important occasion is Mother's day which will be in the second Sunday in May this year. And of course thinking for that gift to a very special person in our life sometimes is difficult especially a thoughtful gift that will last a long time. One gift idea is a diamond heart jewelry. I loved it when my son Jarred gave me a heart necklace last year on mother's day. When you open the pendant you'll see Jarred's picture inside while on the other half of the heart is me and my husband's picture on it. I treasured it so much.

What to avoid

Posted by Malou at 4/15/2009 05:55:00 PM 2 comments
I guess in this world it's tough to be perfectly healthy where in there comes a time that your immune system goes down and somehow you get sick. But get this there are some foods that we should avoid this is based on the book I recently read. On one paragraph it talks about which foods to avoid this includes anything fried. The oil used is often hydrogenated and high temperatures re-use can render it rancid. Hydrogenated, rense oil is damaging to the eyes.
Even barbecuing is not so good. Foods barbecued over charcoal as well as smoked foods have been associated with cataract development also.

Solo Slim

Have you ever heard of Solo Slim? It's a diet pill or weight loss pill . This kind of diet pill claims to help control your appetite. Of course hunger is the reason why we eat but over doing it is not good either. When you wanted to lose weight this might be the one you're looking for that will work on your situation. It also claims to have many other advantages when taken. So if your goal is to drop pounds may be this will be worth a shot.
